Weird Toilet Paper Roll Sculptures by Junior Jacquet
By Village Mayor • Jun 13th, 2009 • Category: Art, Latest Post, WeirdSince childhood, Junior Fritz Jacquet is fascinated by the paper. He explores and experiments with different techniques of folding and crumpling to create new forms and poetic objects that decorate his life.
While he makes a lot of different artworks from paper (you can find them here), my attention was caught by his weird toilet paper roll sculptures.
Who could have thought that those toilet paper rolls that we use to throw away into a garbage bin, could be turned into fascinating face sculptures?
Oh, and the best thing is that you can make them while sitting comfortably on your toilet!
Enjoy!

Very creative masks, which seem to be skillfully made. They remind me a little bit on the Moai statues found on the Rapa Nui.

i especially like the paint. it made the paper appear metallic or made of clay. i like the distressed look & dual toned coloring.
hmmm. is mr. mayor’s mask laughing, yawning or burping?
i can’t decide if it looks like ron perlman or napoleon dynamite… hehehe…
