Nothing added to Mammy’s Cupboard. Not photo shopped. I eat lunch there
several times a year.
Years ago, it was named,The Black Mammy. As that is,
probably, politically incorrect, it bears it’s present name.
African American Mammy doen’t sound correct!

i pass number 15 on the way to my friends and it really does look like that, its the architectural equivalent of an open filing cabinet… or so I’ve heard.
November 18th, 2008 at 5:53 pm

Thank you for compiling this — great set of photos. One correction though regarding the Wooden Gagster House: though it appears to have been built by a gagster, it was actually build by a gangster.
November 16th, 2008 at 4:54 am
When I first started looking at these buildings I thought, the Bah’a'i House of Worship in India, should be here somewhere and just then I saw it. I was quite happy it was included.
Thank you

Does anyone know if one of these buildings was used in the making of the film Entrapment? The building in Tokyo looks similar to the one I remember in the movie.
November 14th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
Awesome pictures…a great collection…might be missing some but still a great collection.
November 14th, 2008 at 9:24 am
Great work of art I have never seen any of them ,but it was very interesting to see wish someday I will see them real regards to all from sunny Malta
November 13th, 2008 at 8:36 pm
Wow! I really want to know what the insides look like. I’ll look on google, but if you feel like posting links to images of the interiors that would be very cool.
Some buildings that are wacky on the outside, like 5, 13, 39, 44 and 50, look like they would have ordinary rectangular rooms on the inside. But others I can’t begin to imagine, like numbers 9, 10, 14 and 31. And then 30… I wonder if the attacking house has interior space people can go into, or if it is just exterior decoration. Well, off to google to look for answers…
November 13th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
none of the uk buildings are photoshopped. I have been inside the lloyds building, the gherkin I can see out my window and container city is on the blackwall tunnel approach think it is used by the council
November 13th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Good collection, check out the house in the clouds in suffolk aswell. Btw, Kanuck for the record is an absolute twat and should do some background research, or actually know something before commenting. A fair few of these at least are common knowledge and most people from England or America will have seen at least one. Being near london, I have seen all there appart from the container building
November 13th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
These are not “all” photoshopped. I’ve seen several in person and they have not been changed.
November 13th, 2008 at 3:35 pm
Ha! Ha! Ha! I love post #281 from the Kanuck. After saying these are all photoshopped because as they note: “I’ve seen some photoshop in my day…” Really, you need to get out more! May I suggest at least 25 of these buildings?
November 13th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
these are all photoshopped. i can tell because the pixels arent right, and having seen a few photoshops in my time
November 13th, 2008 at 1:43 pm

November 12th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
All I can say is Sagada Familia. and the top all seem to be very gaudí inspired. Seeing as number 3 is in spain it may be his although I thought he did the vast majority of his major work in Barcelona.
November 12th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
Another one I know of around the Kansas City area (specifically Independence Missouri) is the Community of Christ’s Temple/World Headquarters building. http://www.robertandmarthamorefield.com/images/P5230132.JPG
November 12th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
the Erwin Wurm is probably the strangest building…
November 12th, 2008 at 11:59 am
A lot of the buildings are quite modern; check http://www.stuardtclarkesrome.com/coppede.html ; this is en entire block built around 1921 in Rome; has been used in dozens of horror movies.
Every single house is filled with weird images and statues.
November 12th, 2008 at 11:51 am
Wonderworks is also in Pigeon Forge, Tn
November 12th, 2008 at 11:48 am

Number 41 is not in Minnesota. It is in Grand Marais, Michigan.
November 12th, 2008 at 4:58 am
#21 is not in China. It is in Taiwan. Taiwan & China are different countries.
November 12th, 2008 at 4:42 am
I’ve been to the mind house in Barcelona, it’s pretty sweet
but really all of Parc Guelle should be part of it because it’s all so unique and amazing!
i mean come on, a huge mosaic lizard?!!! how awesome is that?!!!!
November 12th, 2008 at 4:06 am
Awesome architecture, dreamers fulfilled, so many dreamers so many different places to see!
November 11th, 2008 at 11:54 pm
Hi, you should definitely add a photo of The Doll’s Theatre Baj Pomorski in Torun, Poland. It looks like an old cupboard! It is even better that the one in Sopot.
You can see it at: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_x3YrY8rgf24/RqJkdjXmeDI/AAAAAAAABmA/ItHIsOB2vYc/DSC_02300107.JPG and http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/9893/img7717hk1.jpg
All the best!
